Title: From Ion Beams to Gamma Rays: CMOS Pixel Sensors in Medicine and Astrophysic

CV: Ivan Peric was born in Bonn, Germany, in 1976. He received his diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2000, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Bonn in 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim, and from 2006 to 2014 at the University of Heidelberg, where he completed his habilitation in 2010. Since 2014, he has been a full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany. He teaches courses on analog and digital integrated circuit design. His research interests include the development of novel integrated circuits and silicon sensors, semiconductor device modeling, particle physics, astrophysics, and medical imaging.
