The master’s program in Computer Engineering is usually completed after four semesters. Admission is based on the current regulations of the admission rules. Upon successfully completing the master’s program, students are awarded the academic degree of Master of Science (M.Sc.).

The educational goal of the master’s program in Computer Engineering is to qualify students for research-related professional activities in the field of computer engineering and for doctoral studies.

Building on the knowledge acquired in their previous studies, graduates gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of subject-specific methods and technologies in selected areas of computer engineering. Interdisciplinary skills broaden their knowledge. Graduates can acquire special technical skills and knowledge by choosing a specialization from the two research-related areas of specialization (Emerging Computing and Chip Design).

After the research phase (seminar, paper, and master’s thesis) of the program, graduates are able to independently produce scientific work. Here, they deepen the knowledge of scientific methodology acquired during their studies, broad IT knowledge, a sound education in both hardware and software, the ability to think in an interdisciplinary way, experience with practical applications, and communication and teamwork skills.
